We are currently constructing a "must read" list as it relates to the understanding of street gangs. We have been giving advice, and consulting hundreds of people on the topic of gang and we are often asked about the best books and publications on gangs. These books are not necessarily the most popular or the top selling books, but they are essential quality readings about street gangs. We are also assembling a "reject list" of books. These books have been highly criticized, misleading, and are not recommended for your reading. If you are a researcher, you want to make sure you don't rely on certain studies in your research.
