Eastside Kelly Park Compton Crips [KPCC, ES KPCC, K Gang] formerly known as the Kelly Park Hustlers during the 1980s, are a predominately African-American street gang located on the eastside of Compton.
The founder of Ruthless Records and lead member of N.W.A. (Niggas With Attitude), Eric Wright, grew up in this neighborhood and eventually became a member of this gang. During his teens and early 20s he had a reputation of being an effective hustler and merged his money with the musical talents of Andre Romelle Young (Feb 18, 1965 – ) who lived nearby on Harris Avenue and eventually formed the group N.W.A in 1986.
Rapper Richard “Tweedy Bird” Johnson (Aug 4, 1967 – ) was a gang members from KPCC who became a rapper and was inspired by the success of Eazy E, but was never signed to Ruthless Records.
Rapper AWOL who was a KPCC was a member of the Nationwide Rip Ridaz rap group during the early 1990s.
