Eastside Santana Blocc Compton Crips [SBCC] is a predominately African-American street gang located on the Eastside of the City of Compton. Prior to the formation of Santana Blocc Crip, there were two other neighborhoods that existed, Oak Parks Business Men and Mid Town which were active during the early 1970s. Circa 1978 the two neighborhoods merged to form into the Santana Blocc Crips. Ken “Yogi” Tate, Kim “Bullet” Tate and Rob Franklin were early members of Santana Blocc Crips.
Kim “Bullet” Tate was among one of the original members of Santana Blocc who was killed in March of 1978 during an altercation with Lueders Park Pirus members.
