Santa Monica is a costal city in western Los Angeles County, situated on Santa Monica Bay. The city occupies a total area of 15.9 sq. miles, half of which is water. Because of its agreeable climate, Santa Monica had become a famed resort town since the early 20th century. The city has experienced a boom since the late 1980s through the revitalization of its downtown core with significant job growth and increased tourism.
Santa Monica is home to many film and TV production companies such as Lions Gate Films and MTV, as well as many tech company branches such as Microsoft, Google, and Yahoo. Crime is typically low in Santa Monica, but gang activity has been prevalent for decades in the Pico neighborhood, particularly the portion of the area running roughly from 14th Street to just east of Cloverfield.
According to the 2008 US Census, the total population of Santa Monica is 87,935 people. Only 11.8% of residents are Hispanic, 78.4% of residents are White, 8.8% are Asian, and 3.8% are Black or African American. 22.5% of residents are foreign born, and 25.2% speak a language other than English in the home. 62.1% of residents have a bachelor’s degree or higher, and 94% of residents have a high school degree. Only 7% of families and 11.3% of individuals live below the poverty line. The median family income is $102,428.

Bacc in the 90s Smacc boys use to be deep. They had hang out spots at Virgina Park and other places. Graveyards had a few numbers but most of their memebers were locced up in prison but they use to have meetings and shit on 19th street. I remember when Smacc boys got that azz served when Culver City ran through em in 98. CVC use to ask the Graveyards bout smacc’s hangout spots. lol
