The Los Angeles Police Department arrested Los Angeles Unified School District officer Jeff Stenroos last month after being accused of filing a false police report. Stenroos claimed that he was shot by a would-be robber near El Camino Real High School, prompting nine schools in the West Valley to be placed on lock-down as hundreds of officers at the cost of $500,000 searched the area.

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck has not released much details regarding the arrest of Stenroos, but it is obvious that Stenroos either shot himself accidentally and planned to cover up the mishap, or he shot himself deliberately to gain attention for unknown reasons. There is definitely a shot to his bullet proof vest, and according to the Los Angeles Times, the officer also suffered bruising to his chest which suggests that he was wearing the vest when shot.

If he indeed suffered bruising, that would rule out the idea that Stenroos shot his vest with his shirt over it at another location prior to wearing his uniform. What’s not clear is how does a 9mm casing end up on the ground, when Stenroos’ service weapon was a .45-caliber handgun. If he shot himself on accident, was he armed with a second weapon or did he bring a 9mm casing to the scene as part of an elaborate plan?

During these false accusations and massive manhunts for a non-suspect, black and Hispanics are usually fingered, and in some instances actually arrested for a crime that was never committed. Stenroos, did not take the easy route as he described the phantom shooter as a white man in his 40s, with light brown shoulder-length hair in a pony tail with gray sideburns. No one was ever taken into custody.

Alonso, he faked those bruises. We know this for a fact. In due time it will come out, if he goes to trial. If he accepts a plea deal, then many of these question will remained unanswered.

why dont the LAPD tell the entire truth of what happened? They still have not explained why he was arrested in any sort of detail.
