Aqeela Sherrills, from RHD California, organized the commemoration of the Watts Community gang truce and cease fire of 1992 among several gangs in the Imperial Courts, Nickerson Gardens, Jordan Downs, and Hacienda Village housing projects. The Bounty Hunter Bloods, Grape Street Crips, PJ Watts Crips, Hacienda Village Bloods, Circle City Pirus were among the main gangs that laid down a long lasting peace process.
In Watts last April, the community came together to support the peace keeping efforts of many of the street gangs.

Real men grow up and realize that it’s more than just red and blue, it’s about blacks putting the guns down and rebuilding the community. Don’t worry, you’ll grow up one day
Sometimes it’s hard to become a “real man” when there hasn’t been a real man role model to aid in the development of such a citizen. Boys do grow up to be men eventually but they are left to the world to guide them. We pray they find a positive source to guide them through life.
Read this article, it shows how a young man turns to gang, and how he made changes in his life. Read how why he got into gangs and what made him grow up and realize he had to change.
