Visit to the Four Corners of Death in Southeast San Diego

The corner of Euclid and Imperial in Southeast San Diego is known as the 4 (Four) Corners of Death, so we decided to take a trip to this notorious intersection. Upon our arrival, we witnessed a young man being chased down Imperial avenue by the San Diego Police Department. He was caught and placed under arrest right before our cameras were rolling.
The police in San Diego would not acknowledge that this intersection was known as the 4 Corners of Death. Many people we spoke to in the community have acknowledged that the corner is known by that name because it has a violent reputation, but in recent years crime has dropped in this part of San Diego.

I noticed that the Starbucks that was at the 4 corners of meth didn’t last long. What were they thinking? That Gang Bangers would forsake their crack for a tall latte? Can’t you just see the bangers hanging outside of the Starbucks sipping on their Iced Tea and talking about who they gonna smoke next?
im pretty sure starbucks is still there (i live in LA now, but i still go back like once or twice a month) and i know for a fact that food 4 less, magnolia’s, and L&L hawaiian are still there. if the starbucks did close, it’s because a whole lot of starbucks stores are closing, the company over-expanded over the past couple years and had to shut down alot of their stores. your ignorance is astounding, gang activity exists in southeast san diego, but it is not like everyone there is a gang banger. probably less than 5% are. and crack is not that big of a problem anymore, it is pretty hard to come by in san diego.
I’ve lived near this corner for a couple years and there has not been a Starbucks located
there during that time. However, there is a Starbucks located a few blocks north @ Euclid
and Naranja. People are sitting outside the Starbucks enjoying their tall Lattes and Iced
Tea and each others company on most days.
