There has been a lot of discussion about the conflict between Blacks & Hispanics in Los Angeles for some years and some have suggested that there is an ethnic cleansing or racial war taking place in Los Angeles. Evidence on crime between the two groups does not reflect that, and killings defined as “racial” are isolated and far and few between.
Most conflict that people perceive as “racial’ are rooted in gang conflict and can be traced back to the California prison politics, but that has not had a significant impact on los Angeles crime. The last murder in Los Angeles that can be defined as racial occurred in December 2006 when Fajardo from 204th Street gang murdered Cheryl Green, 14, a young girl with no gang ties.

I am white and I will tell you my opinion. I think that its a shame that blacks are being overrun by mexicans in LA. The black janitors union use to be the best union in LA until the mexicans took it over. im white, i did extensive gangs research in the 90s, here are the facts. The race war between the cambodians and the eses in long beach was much more ruthless than the race war between the blacks and eses now. The asians retaliated tit for tat for every one of their’s ked, even more so than the mexicans. Google and research old news articles from The Press Telegram if any of you are in denial.

Chicago is second only to Los Angeles in terms of Mexican Population. The biggest difference between Cali Gangs and Chicago gangs are that Chicago gangs are educated. The Mexicans and Blacks in Chicago aren’t all about k-ingg, they are about expanding and growing financially whether it be selling drugs or opening up businesses. The fact that Chitown gangs see past racial differences goes to show much more advance they truly are when compared to Cali gangs. Many gangs in chicago are multiracial, which shows that in order to join a gang you don’t have to have the same color skin, you just have to be street smart and believe in the overall objective of the gang.

Some of what you said is correct! But most of those blacks and Latinos usually grow up around one another in their hoods. This might sounds smart guyed, but it does not become racial until it hits the joint!!! I’ve read of racially motivated murders by hispanic gangs against blacks in Chicago as well, so this is not just a west coast phenomenon.

And to add another thing about race and gangs in L.A. There are still Mexican Bloods and Mexican Crips and Black Surenos in Southern California. There’s blacks in gangs like 18th Street and Compton Varrio 70s, and Mexicans in gangs like 52 Pueblo Blood and one or both of the Blood Swan gangs (could be either Mad Swan or Family Swan or both that has Mexican members). I’m sure there are some Crip sets that have Mexicans, just can’t think of any right now. I think there’s even a few blacks in Culver City Boys/Culver City 13, even though they had beef or still have beef with the Venice Shoreline Crips.

Boys and girls, here’s the reality of it all: all of this nation, especially within the state of CA is becoming populated by Mexicans. Now, I say Mexican, because I know my people; and by the way, those of you who allow yourself to be called a “hispanic,” or “latino,” shame on you. This is nothing but the European/white culture to place a label on our people; but hey, that’s a comment for a different day. Here’s the truth of the matter. Now, the following is an account of what happened so please, don’t get hung up on the whole racial issue; I’m just keeping it real.
Sometime between 1995-1996, I was working as a police officer with the Housing Authority PD, (the real “one-time”), and I was sent to the Imperial Courts office to take a report of a battery. It turned out a brother and sister, (as in belonging to the same parents), ages 10 and 12, of Mexican descent, had been beat up by a group of about 20 blacks all whom happened to be adults. The kids were not beat up to the point of needing hospitalization, but they certainly got their licks.
The investigation revealed that yes, they had been up by blacks, but the reason for it was simple: fear. The fear that the black community was feeling is something that Samuel Huntington wrote about in his article, “Jose can you see,” about “nationalism.” For those who don’t understand big words, or don’t know how to use a dictionary, nationalism is: “Devotion to the interests or culture of one’s nation. The belief that nations will benefit from acting independently rather than collectively, emphasizing national rather than international goals. Aspirations for national independence in a country under foreign domination.”
The black community within the Imperial Courts was and continues to be concerned the loss of their homes and the loss of their community. This is no different than what the U.S. experienced with the arrival of all races: Mexicans, the Irish, the Italians, etc. Nor is it any different than what the French are experiencing with the inundation of Muslims into their country; and according to http://www.linuxinsider.com/perl/board/mboard.pl/offtopic/thread234/234.html, “…countries like Canada, the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, and Russia can expect to be pressured to accept collectively hundreds of millions of refugees from India, and sub-Sahara Africa.” “Pressured to accept” being the key words. This is a world wide problem and we all have no choice but to get used to it.
According to Huntington, this country is currently experiencing the feeling of nationalism and he predicts that the entire North half of Mexico will become part of the United States. In other words, open borders. And if you believe in the Bible, the question of the formation of “the America’s,” followed by the whole new world order thing, (but that’s a topic for another day). The population shift is a reality throughout the world is a reality for all to see, or experience, and it is especially a valid fear of the black community within the small confines of Imperial Courts.
Now for those of you getting into the whole eastcoast/westcoast thing, and that the gangs in Los Angeles are more screwed up than yours because of the race issue, let me ask you something: who are you fighting? Or k-ingg for that matter. We don’t need to go further than the victims of the Bloods and Crip gang members, they’re still k-ingg of another human being involved and therefore, you’re gang, or the make-up of the gang doesn’t really matter.
