Hyde Park resident murdered in drive-by shooting

Marquise WIlson

Marquis Wilson, 23, was shot and killed July 9, at the Shell Gas Station on the southwest corner of Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue in Hyde Park it what appears to be a gang related shooting.

Also known as Tiny Ricc Rocc from Rollin 60s Crips, the young black male was shot shortly after 4 p.m. while another man was injured during the shooting.

Both men were taken to a hospital, where Wilson was pronounced dead and the other man was in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the leg.

No suspects have been arrested in the shooting. Detectives of LAPD’s 77th Division are investigating this case.
