splash_carimageOne of the most comprehensive, long lasting, and effective gang programs in the State of California, Homeboy Industries, is raising money because many of their regular donors have not been able to continue to finance the program because of the slumping economy.

It cost 9 million dollars per year for Fr. Greg Boyle to provide the services he has been bringing to the community since 1988 which include, counseling, mentoring, tattoo removal, job placement, educational and legal services. Through their virtual car wash, they are hoping to receive a $10 donation from 1 million people who are concerned about gang, recidivism, violence, education and job opportunities. Please visit Homeboy Industries to learn more about this incredible intervention / prevention agency.

G is the best gang counselor, he understands the plight of gang members better than anyone else. why? because he cares/

I wonder to what extent the arrest of one of Homeboy Industries top officials in a recent scandal is playing on its receiving donations?

Recently it was reported that one of the top guys in the organization was found to be using it to further advance his gang. Using his relationship with the cities officials and Police Department to secure knowledge for his gang to be able to become stronger and maneuver around the police…

People want so hard to believe in good and help contribute, but when things like that take place people just take 10 steps backwards in the movement for helping people.

not true Ms Pinky, who and when? You conveniently make nameless accusations, but what you are saying has never happened.

Much love to the HBI heads, they helped me get all my job ki*ler tattoos removed when I first got out of the pen, which was worth more than the procedure cost, and especially more than the 10$ donation being asked, so I’ve got my virtual ride detailed a few times over now.
Hope it works out for them.
