The Mansfield Gangster Crips, a West LA neighborhood have memorialized the slain rapper Roderick “Dolla” Burton on the walls of their West LA neighborhood. Although Dolla was based in Atlanta, he had ties to this Los Angeles neighborhood. The Mansfields are aligned with other Tray neighborhoods throughout the City and “Tray” or “Three” became a symbol that Dolla had represented. Notice the words “Mans” and “Field” tattooed on the inside of his index and middle fingers and the large three on his stomach. Aubrey Berry, 23, of Atlanta was arrested for his murder.

To the NHC’s, the 3x’s, Grooves, BPS and all yall. Im addressing this issue because I’m tired of the BS! I knew Buck/Dolla. He was from ATL and he went hard for that. Some of the young MansFields didn’t think knowing T-money was enough to let an out-of-towner claim Crip, so about 3 years ago they got him without T-Money around and tried to pull his card. They sent 3 niggas his age and size to put him on. Well guess what, Buck/Dolla was real and got with all three of them niggas! (And he knocked out 2Pistols at that award show.) Buck/Dolla also has been shot in a shootout. I can promise you, he was genuine. And for those who doubt West L.A. please check the files. I don’t bang anymore but I use to and I promise you West L.A. is full of homicides. So many frieds of mine have been murdered. I also know that the PBG’s were hit with a gang injunction in ’89, long befor the gang injunctions in other hoods. West L.A. been active. But it’s sad when we are arguing over whose hood is worse. Lets hear the side from a friend of Aubrey “AB” Berry…. AB comes from a good family. Graduated High School and then went to college. Hustled his way thru school by cutting hair on the side and hosting events in the city of atlanta. Events that “Dolla” has probably attended and had a great time. He spent time overseas as a barber and starting other business ventures. Until the moment he ran into Dolla at a strip club his life/future was just as bright as Dolla’s.
