Torrence Hatch, also known by his rap name Lil Boosie, was scheduled to appear in court this morning to address charges surrounding the murder of Terry Boyd. Boyd was shot through the window of his home on October 21, 2009. His Defense Attorney Marcus Allen said, “He’s absolutely not guilty. We’re just going to prepare for his defense and get ready to address the charges.”

Lil Boosie pleaded not guilty at his arraignment hearing last June. The indictment did not stop the music artist from claiming it was an attack against hip hop, nor was he deterred from releasing the album Incarcerated while in prison.

In addition to the 1st-degree murder charger, the Louisiana rapper was to be tried for smuggling codeine and marijuana pills into the Hunt Correctional Institute, aided by a guard and his girlfriend. He was slated to appear in court along with Michael Louding and Adrian Pittman who face multiple drug and conspiracy charges, but the hearing for all three alleged killers has been postponed.
