TMZ got to the bottom of a story they exploded that Russell Simmons and Reverend Run had siphoned off millions from their Pastry company.

On Sunday, the entertainment news source reported that Simmons and Run’s “business partner” Rasheed Young had been stonewalled after calling out the music moguls for funneling money from the Pastry kids shoe brand into a separate business that he had no share in. And now he has threatened to sue.

Simmons since clarified that Rasheed Young was a former employee with the man. “[Young]’s a nice enough guy, he worked for me,” quotes TMZ. “I fought to keep his job a numbers of time, he didn’t have a job and I went back to our partners and kept him working. I’m sorry he’s disgruntled, but that’s what happens. Anybody can say anything in this day and time and if a celebrity’s name is attached to it, people like to sometimes believe dirt, and so it spreads…the story, it’s not true.”
