The end of Tyga’s performance in Omaha, Nebraska, yesterday erupted into gunfire resulting in several injuries, but if the rapper was feeling any remorse, he didn’t express it.
Charged words were flying between the stage and audience members at Sokol Auditorium during the run of the show, where Tyga was videotaped egging on local hecklers, inviting the rowdier individuals to meet him outside at closing. The challenge appeared to be accepted. According to the Associated Press, a fistfight broke out after the performance was over, and as his entourage boarded their tour cavalcade, gunshots were fired from a car that had followed the van and trailer for several blocks.
One man received a grazing from a bullet, while a woman named Sochitta Sal, or Honey Cocaine, was shot in the arm. Sal tweeted, after treatment for the wound, “Got shot and I’m not dead. #LoveLifeAndGod.” Tyga commented that the violent concertgoers were not fans, tweeting, “Shit happens and as a man I deal with the decisions I make.”
