After two production interns filed a lawsuit against Fox for unpaid work on the movie Black Swan in 2010, and Rashida Salaam taking Bad Boy Entertainment to court with 500 others estimated to be eligible to join her claim, class action suits continue to pile against corporations in violation of minimum-wage laws.

Warner Music Group now faces a lawsuit filed by former intern Kyle Grant and backed by some 3,000 peers for performing errands that provided no educational or vocational benefits while displacing the tasks of regular employees without compensation.

The class action lawsuit, filed last June, was recently approved by a New York federal judge. Digital Music News reports that if successfully litigated, co-named defendants Warner Music Group and Atlantic Recording Corporation may owe millions in backpay.

Rashida Salaam voluntarily dismissed her case against Bad Boy Entertainment two months after filing, according to ProPublica. Shifts to industry practice are still far from sight.
