West Coast rapper Game’s R.E.D. Album has reportedly been dealt yet another delay and will not hit stores until early July. According to reports, his album does not have a new release date.

All Hip Hop reports: “The R.E.D. Album was originally due in stores on June 15th, but that date was changed to June 29th. The next release date given for the rapper’s fourth studio album was listed as July 6th, but that date has been pushed back as well. While an exact release date has yet-to-be confirmed, the album should land in stores this Summer. According to sources close to Game, he canceled a series of listening sessions slated to take place this week, so that he could focus on recording new material for the R.E.D. Album.”

Last month, reports claimed that Game would drop his album on the same day as Big Boi’s Sir Luscious Leftfoot.

Rap-up.com writes: “The summer release schedule is getting one more shake-up. Game’s R.E.D. Album has been moved to July. The rapper’s fourth LP has been delayed one week to July 6 from its previous June 29 date. Other releases that week include Kelis’ Flesh Tone and Big Boi’s Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.”

Game previously talked to Rap-up TV about competing on June 15th with Drake’s debut album.

“Nah man, it’s just a package deal, you should go and support hip-hop, go get Thank Me Later and go grab R.E.D. and you good,” Game said in an interview. “You know you’re good, then the next week you come back and buy Eminem, great. June is gonna be a big month. So no, it’s no competition. Everything don’t gotta be a competition and we’re not even the same type of [artist,] we’re not in the same lane. I respect what he does and I talked to him before, he’s a fan of mine so we’ll just keep it like that and put it out, people will go and buy them and who cares who’s number one, number two, it don’t make no sense to me because I’ve been around and sold millions of records already. I have nothing else to prove.”

He recently talked about not feeling a need to promote the album as strongly as previous efforts.
ABC News reports, “The rapper says he believes seniority in music equates with not having to promote upcoming projects, and that’s exactly the approach he’s taking for the release of his fourth studio album. “I’m not into promoting. I give you a date, and if you’re a Game fan, then you’ll get the album,” the West Coast rapper says matter-of-factly about his upcoming album, “R.E.D.,” due July 6 on Interscope Records. “I don’t sell myself. This is my fourth album. I don’t think I need to do all that…Generally I just wake up in the morning and I live life and I make my decisions as far as music goes based on how I’m feeling that day.”

Ice Cubeh is starting to rust out, Nipsey needs some polishing and Snoop Dogg sold out to the dirty south. Not to mention we losing south la to the hat dancers…times have changed…but we hope this RED album is worth the wait. I will buy it and it buy it. It better be worth my hard money

OnDaReal im gonna try to make this short ass possible
First if you hoping for the return of the west you better look north, cuz thats the only place with a buzz
And no im not from the Bay, I live in the J’s straight la Ni66ah
Second the westcoast dont have no dj, producing, no sound
Third no rec exec will f with us because of gang injunctions, etc.
Fourth its too gang infusted, first thing Ni66ahs say is where that Ni66ah from, o he from Piru f that Ni66ah he from RSC f that Ni66ah
Fifth and most important the dope game is in the midwest and south
Back in the day Suge and Easy was making that dope money and turning it legit

      Feel me

Very good point, J. You really know what you saying. That’s a fing shame, because to be honest, I can’t see listening to Drake and that sort of skinny jean ish for very long. I really don’t listen to it at all. I liked some of Nipsey’s stuff, but, like u say, it lacks a kind of buzz, it’s like, here’s an allbum, ok, bye see you in another year. What people spit out is what they feel and now with so much tension between the blacks and the browns and the homies losing geography, it’s depressing. And there aint nothing worse than having to listen to a depressing ni66a trying to spit out some lyrics. Although, I guess that’s how the blues started….Maybe it’s time to go back to the roots.

This album isnt gonna sell ish that is why they push it back, this aint the early 2000s or 90s. U got to hit the clubs, concerts, etc. To promote yo ish look at Drake, Lil Boosie, Rick Ross, they are marketing genius all thos Rick Ross youtube videos, all those mixtape. U got to do it like that now its not about releasing a cd and making money. Game need to step his Game up.
U know what it is West coast rappers is lazy and they aint hungry man
They make me wanna start rapping so I can talk about gang injunction, dumb azz mayor antonio vargos, 10,000 police force, weed clinics, dope game f it so we sell bootleg items.
Man I would talk about real LA like this blog does

hahaha. Your an idiot. Statics showed that as soon as the album sells it would sell 300,000 alot of his songs are on youtube. all that club music is just pure bullish. R.E.D. album is real music. Look at drake? all he raps about is women. Lil boosie is a fart. Rick ross is a sell out.

I think if u got someting to say, J, put it on wax. There aint no failure in trying. Someones bound to step on your nuts once in awhile in that business, but I reckon u just gotta get back up and step on theirs. Like I said, Snoop is smart, he’s following the money and after you’ve rapped about the ghetto so many times, it’s bound to be always about money. Right now his money is in the south, that’s were people are buying CD’s, so it’s no wonder he gets together with Solliver Boy on his last CD and others. It’s like a fing chess game, it was once about waking uo and having to face another day on the hood, but when you have a lot of money and dont even live in the hood no more, then it would be fake trying to rap about it, so now it’s then it’s about fancy cars and chickes and when that’s worn outm they go back to what ills society, but on a different perspective. So many homies have been smoked in the last 20 plus years, a lot of talent lived with them. There needs to be another Ice Cube, Easy E etc getting on the scene, and is should start with you.

Actually, J, by pushing it back, he is probably trying to build some anticipation for it and hopes it will pay off. But on da real, he is timing it with other artists releases to try and stroke his own ego…for his sake, I hope it works.
