Gun used in deadly Irving Plaza concert shooting found in minivan of suspect Troy Ave

irving plaza shootingThe gun used in the Irving Plaza concert shooting that left one person dead and two wounded was recovered in a secret compartment of the minivan belonging to the rapper accused of being the triggerman.

The Kel Tech .9-mm pistol was found in a hidden compartment inside the center console of the vehicle that took Brooklyn-born rapper Troy Ave to the hospital after the Wednesday night shooting at a T.I. concert.

Troy Ave’s bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, was fatally shot in the chest during the 10 p.m. backstage bloodbath at the Union Square nightclub.
