Daylyt SpawnIn a machine run by access to radio airplay and album tours, Eminem’s support of battle rap by hosting the “Total Slaughter” competition aims to strengthen the avenue that launched his career. But enforcing structure are a format that had been mostly fluid up before now has come with stumbles. Math Hoffa apologized for getting physical during his rap battle Dizaster, which became a point of reflection for many aspirants.

“The leagues book these people with the intentions of, ‘If it happens, it happens, man,’” criticized event competitor Daylyt. “I wouldn’t book grudge matches. If we trying to take Hip Hop, if this is a lyrical sport other than the antics, if we trying to take this sh*% to another level, let’s book antic versus antic battles, lyrical versus lyrical [battles]. Book stuff like that. If you trying to book people because you think they’re gonna fight, then book a boxing match, man… Do not allow numerous people on stage. That will prevent 1,000 per cent of the problems. Because most boys get hyped up when they have people behind them. You know how many people in this world is scared to catch the fair one-on-one?”

Daylyt attracted his own flood of critiques when he forfeited his turn in the middle of a battle against T-Rex by stripping his Spawn costume and retreating to the floor. He had pulled out a pill box and later explained that he disconnected from failing to take his medication for schizophrenia.
