The newest addition to Lil Wayne’s stack of unpaid royalties and copyright breach lawsuits came from a Georgia-based production company at the tune of $15 million, filed on August 1st. Done Deal Records alleges that the rapper stole their tune of “Bedrock” and incorporated it into the track of the same name released on the compilation album “We Are Young Money.”

The album reached #2 on the Billboard charts 3 months after its December 2009 release and was certified Gold. The “Bedrock” single with appearances by Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lloyd is estimated to have moved 3,000,000 copies, according to AllHipHop’s copy of the lawsuit filing. Done Deal Records lists Lil Wayne, Young Money Records, and Cash Money Records as defendants, directing their counsel to appear at a pretrial conference on October 12 at the U.S.  Southern District Court of New York.

The rapper, nearing age 30 with the responsibilities of a young father, announced his plans to retire little over a month ago.
