The South Carolina Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office disclosed the shooting death of Christopher A. Martin without reference to his role in Hip-Hop, but industry musicians are taking note bemoaning his death. Christopher “Cam” Martin, 34, was manager to Hurricane Chris, The Party Boyz, and Yung Berg, of many more.
Martin’s body was discovered at 8 a.m. Saturday outside an abandoned home in the New Hope Community, reported Live5News. His death is being investigated as a homicide with an autopsy underway.
The Atlanta native was Director of A&R at Polo Grounds/J Records, an artist manager at Jive Records, and later CEO of Camouflage Management.
Yung Berg tweeted in shock, “RIP 2 MY BROTHER CHRISTOPHER MARTIN AKA CAM! GONE 2 SOON! WAS JUST WITH HIM 2 DAYS AGO!”
Martin is survived by three children.
