A burglary suspect chose the wrong house to trespass when he entered the Studio City home of LL Cool J. The rapper turned actor superstar heard a noise inside his home at 1 a.m. and went downstairs to find then confront the intruder. A call was placed shortly to 911, notifying police that the actor who plays a special agent on NCIS: Los Angeles had detained the trespasser with his own bare hands.

LL Cool J, born James Todd Smith, is reported to have come away unscathed from the scuffle while the interloper was found suffering injuries to his nose and jaw, according to TMZ. The suspect was booked for burglary and is believed to be suffering from mental issues. He was hospitalized as of this morning. LL Cool J’s representative said of the actor only that “he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities.”
