The news of Lil Webbie’s reported assault and robbery of a woman gets more and more convoluted. On Thursday, Webbie was arrested on charges of battery and robbery, accused of kicking a woman down a flight of stairs in the Chase Suite Hotel in Baton Rouge and stealing her purse, along with $340 that was in it. Webbie’s representative responded that the woman had originally stolen the money from him.

The most recent statement from the alleged victim, posted on HipHopBlog, clarified that the attack was exaggerated, and that rather she and Webbie had a on-and-off relationship. The money was given to her to fly out of the city but became an item of contention during a domestic argument.

Trill Entertainment, under whom Webbie is signed, has since stated that the two parties had made contact, and that the woman and her mother “know and deny any and all allegations brought against Mr. Gradney.”

It should be noted that the charges were filed by the police of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and not the alleged victim.
