Nicki Minaj is the latest musician whose name was used in a promoter’s false concert scam. Montclair State University paid a promoter almost $35,000 to book her for their Fall Festival on October 8, and fans who had slept overnight to purchase the $40 tickets were to be disappointed when they learned that she was not aware of any such scheduling.

The rapper wrote, “When I find out the person responsible for this MSU scam I’m putting their name on Twitter. Scamming college kids? Go to hell!” She quickly followed through on that promise, tweeting, “According to MSU, they sent money to Romarick Hough of Premiere Talent Agency 646.327.8648.”

To add to the arise of unexpected incidents, her newest single “Right Through Me” was also leaked without her producer’s consent. Nicki, however, is unfazed and rather optimistic about her fans’ excitement. “I think it will be a standout. . .it’s a really, really pretty song,” Minaj told MTV News, even though her past collaborations have been more hard-hitting. “Everyone’s gonna like it. It’s just really insightful but in a very conversational kind of way.”

She assures her followers that any concerts that are real will be revealed through twitter, starting October 22nd. Her debut album Pink Friday will be released the week of black Friday in November.
