Shyne Calls For Obama To Disarm Travel Ban

Shyne is working hard to get some positive energy about Obama, but not for the President’s reelection campaign. The converted Jewish rapper is hoping to have a ban from traveling in the U.S. lifted by the President and has made a direct appeal to Obama’s projected sympathies with hip hop.

The native Belizean had spent most of his young adolescence in the United States but served nearly ten years in jail after being involved in a shooting at Diddy’s club in New York. Combs was acquitted of charges related to the 1999 incident, while Shyne passed his time by redefining himself as a convert to Judaism and changing his name to Moses Levi. Faced with either the choice of probation in the U.S. or the ability to roam free in “temporary deportation” back to Belize upon release because of his green card status, Shyne chose the latter but has been fighting for the right to return back to America since.

In an interview on MTV, Shyne challenged that the President who’s “always talkin’ about he listens to hip-hop and his daughter listens to hip-hop” knows about his difficulty in obtaining a visa and should be helping him send a positive message to disadvantaged youth. “Obama is playing games, he frontin’, he better do the right thing.”
