O’Shea Jackson Jr.’s first role as his father in NWA’s Biopic

ice cube and sonThe buzz is on for the new NWA biopic and we are anxiously awaiting its release date. Ice Cube spoke to Jimmy Kimmel and said that his son, O’Shea Jackson, 22, is playing him in the film Straight Outta Compton. He said “My son is in it, he plays me in the movie, so I’m extremely proud of that, that’s cool.”

Cube also said that Hell yea, his son had to audition for the part when asked by Kimmel. “He had to win the part. I ain’t giving up nothing free.” Cube went on to say O’Shea was “born to play the part,” From the looks of IMBD, O’Shea Jr. has yet to make his mark in the acting world. This will be his debut as an actor.

The film is produced by none other than himself, Ice Cube along with fellow member of NWA, Dr. Dre, and directed by F. Gary Gray. Gray is known for Cubes break out role in Friday.
