G-Unit Rapper, Young Buck arrested for attempted murder

Rapper Young Buck, surrenders to Santa Monica police on November 19, 2004 for an incident that occurred at the Vibe music awards (November 15, 2004) where he allegedly stabbed a man who punched Dr. Dre during at the Santa Monica Municipal Airport Hangar. Buck, 23, whose real name is David Darnell Brown was charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon.

The rapper allegedly stabbed Jimmy James Johnson, 26, after Johnson punched Dr. Dre during the show, on November 15, 2004 and the assault was captured on video tape. Buck has had minor skirmishes in the past, but he now faces assault with a deadly weapon charges. Johnson sustained a collapsed lung and is currently in stable condition.

Buck was booked at the Santa Monica jail and released on $500,000 bail. Young Buck is scheduled to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court on December 20th for an arraignment hearing.
