Parallel to the elections this year, the blankociated Press also conducted a poll on America’s taste in music. Beating out Vanilla Ice (who famously tried to mix in a Queen song without credit) and Justin Bieber, Soulja Boy was awarded with over 57% of the votes for “Worst Artist in American Music History.” According to HipHop365, this came after polling more than 200,000 fans from October through November.

2 Chainz received much higher accolades, landing the cover of The Source’s 3rd annual Man Of The Year issue and deposing Rick Ross from his previous back-to-back title win. Continuing on the success of his “T.R.U. Realign” mixtape, former Tity Boi’s career launched to the top of the charts with his album “Based on a T.R.U. Story.” 2 Chainz said that changing his name was not the only tack to his self-reinvention. “It wasn’t like my name made me rap better. I worked my blank off… It felt good to outdo myself and just be omnipresent and be a part of everything.”

“Those who haven’t been through that struggle don’t mind going to the zoo to pet the animals. They don’t wanna live in the zoo, but they don’t mind coming through. I’m someone who can show you around in a cool way where you don’t have to worry about getting eaten up.”

  1. HIP-HOP

I agree, the first two tracks sound kind of different from the rest. They sound like the same female singer. They sound good but not so much “rap” or “ragga” i think. And the 8:00 track “mariano” is actually 2 tracks. the first one fades at 4:10 .
