Someone broke into Nelly’s multi-million dollar mansion. House guests alerted police about the burglary. The suspect got a way, but police moved quickly searching the remote area near the home. They used a helicopter and dogs. St. Louis County Police recovered a surveillance tape. It shows a man moving around inside the dark house.

County Police Officer Rick Eckhard says they think they know how the burglar got into the house. “We believe the individual entered through and left through an open window. He left the same way carrying a bag of most likely electronics, mostly gaming equipment. ”

Nelly is out of town visiting sick kids at an Atlanta Hospital. He is aware of the break in. Three people were staying at the home while he was away. Police say no one was injured. One of the three house quests confronted the individual. That’s when the suspect fled.

Investigators report witnesses saw a black GMC Envoy driving away from the mansion.

Eckhard explains how police concluded it was likely the suspect. “Since this is a dead end road, we believe its the suspect’s vehicle. ”

Police can’t say how many people were involved.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s or 30’s with a mustache and glblankes, wearing a dark colored hoodie.

Anyone with information should contact St. Louis County Police.
