Hispanic Gangs in the City of Los Angeles (Central LA & Pico Union area)
These gangs are located in the Pico Union and Downtown LA area South of the 5 Freeway, east of Normandie Avenue, west of Alameda and north of the 10 Freeway. Some of these gangs were formed in the 1960s such as 18th Street, Temple Street and Echo Park, while some of the Salvadorean based gangs grew in the 1980s such as Mara Salvatrucha, Easy Riders, and Crazy Riders.
