East Side Clover [ESC, Clover Street, CST] is a predominately Hispanic Street gang located in the Lincoln Heights community just east of the Los Angeles River. The gang formed on the 600 block of Clover during the early 1900s when Lincoln Heights was a destination locations for Italians, Irish, Russian, Mexicans, Germans, and Japanese immigrants.
Several business began to form in Lincoln Heights including dozens of wineries and breweries that took advantage of the adjacent railroad tracks and fertile land for grape cultivation off the river banks.
