Blythe Street (BST)

Blythe Street (BST) is a predominately Hispanic-American street gang located in the Panorama City section of Los Angeles in the West San Fernando Valley. During the late 1970s, Blythe Street was originally a click or subgroup of the gang Barrio Van Nuys, but it broke away from BVN to establish their own neighborhood.
Blythe Street are the first gang in the San Fernando Valley to be targeted for a gang injunction in 1993 by the City of Los Angeles. That injunction (Case # LC020525) became permanent in 2000.
Blythe Street turf is situated from Parthenia (north) to about Saticoy (south) from Van Nuys Blvd (east) to Sepulveda Blvd (west). The LAPD have documented about 350 members of this gang and in the amended gang injunction complaint they named 96 members.
There are six main clicks of Blythe, which include the Chicos, the oldest click, the Dukes sls Los Duques (DKS), Cyclones (CLS), Rascals (RKS/RCS) & Niteowls (NOS), a newer click. Outside these six clicks there are also the Tiny Locos (TLS), Hispanics Most Wanted (HMWS) and MKS.

This is not correct. My homies and I were 5 who are founders of the original VPC Blythe Street clique. It was never an offshoot or split from BVN. Never. Just the opposite: We started tagging VPC and BST when we were hit up by BVN Delano Boys. Most of us lived on Blythe Street and one of the original 5 was on Willard and streets around Blythe. I won’t give names now other than our homeboy Sash, as anyone who reads this and knows our history will recognize this name and know who we are. One of our BST founders contacted me and told me Sash lived a couple years ago in a boating accident. Sash was formerly Huero (Huero #1 from BST the original). His enthusiasm for starting the varrio Panorama City and our clique on Blythe will never be forgotten.

We started Blythe Street and VPC at the same time. It was 1974-75 and I remember the moment we agreed on the name. Your original homeboys are two: Sash and Speedy.
There were three of us who also are founders, but Sash (formerly Huero #1) and Speedy (formerly Puppet) really made the varrio come to life.
