Choppers 12 gang graffiti, 2008
Choppers 12 is a predominately Latino street gang located on the border of East Los Angeles, unincorporated LA County and the City of Commerce. They were founded around 1952 as a motorcylce social club and the number “12” referred to Midnight. Over the years, through conflict with the neighboring communities they transformed their identity into a street gang by the 1960s.
One of their main rivals are the King Kobras (KK), located north of their turf.
Many Choppers 12 members frequent Bristow Park in the City of Commerce.
The have the following clicks: Cut Downs (CDS), Pequenos (PWS), Tiny Duksters (TDS), MS, LMS,TMS and Bristow Parqueros (BPS).
In recent years, another section of Commmerce developed a Choppers varrio on the Bandini side where the Bandini Midgets once occupied.
