Rosewood (Unincorporated LA County)

The Unincorporated area of Rosewood was previously known as Athens, but in an effort to improve both perceptions and property values in this neighborhood which is located west of Compton, the name was changed to Rosewood. Athens still exists as a smaller neighborhood slightly west of Rosewood, across the thin strip area belonging to the City of Los Angeles.
