Walnut is a city suburb of Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley. It occupies a total land area of 8.98 sq. miles, located 24 miles west of downtown Los Angeles. The city of Walnut obtained its name from the Rancho Los Nogales Mexican land grant, “Nogales” which is Spanish for the word for walnut. The majority race of Walnut is Asian.
The city is a fairly good mix of residential and industrial area, with over 600 businesses. Money’s Best Places to Live 2009 ranked Walnut as #70 in America, the highest ranking for a Californian city. One of the most notable aspects of Walnut is the Walnut Family Festival. For one day each year during the fall, several larger streets are closed in the early hours of the morning and a parade is held in which many local clubs and groups participate.
According to the 2008 Census, the total population of Walnut is 29,515 people. 18.4% of residents are Hispanic, 22.2% of residents are White, 60.8% are Asian, and 3.1% are Black or African American. 46.5% of residents are foreign born, and 62.6% speak a language other than English in the home. 43.7% of residents have a bachelor’s degree or higher, and 90.9% of residents have a high school degree. Only 4.2% of families and 4.9% of individuals live below the poverty line. The median family income is 104,878.

Trigger st is a made up gang that started in 1994, Diamond Bar is a millionaire city, you cant compare a real varrio like walnut 13 to a super rich area like trigger lane, walnut has been around since 1974, they have over 100 strong members and original gangsters known as veteranos, if your ever near valley and camino de gloria st, check out there hood and say the stuff to them in person that you say online, trust me you wont.

I used to stroll through their neighborhood when I lived at my sister’s pad in walnut back in 2009 & never ran into any of these foos. ish, I didn’t even know it was a varrio until my primo from Sangra asked if I bumped heads with any walnuts. When I say I strolled through their hood, I ment their four streets which are camino de gloria, camino teodoro, camino de rosa and calle baja. There’s also hillcrest that curves up on a small hill. I walked down their one alley just for kicks, and hung out at Norman Ashley and Lemon creek to play soccer and b-ball with my sisters kids, never had any trouble. No homies posted up on the streets or at the liqour store by moshi moshi, ish there wasn’t even any chickes to talk to. All I saw were old asian people.

I take it you were not around in the 90s? walnut 13 was deep as hell back then, not to sure about now, I had a friend from there.
Some what true, there’s a different between claiming to be a “gangster” in an area and GANG BANGING, nicer areas like Walnut does not have drive-bys everyday so it’s not gang banging but more ripping with little to no beef because whats there to beef over? I remember Walnut 13 gang, those cholos were deep in the 90s, there area is not rich at all, whoever says that is blind, the other part of that city is a different story, but Walnut 13 is a mini ghetto.
