Central Recovery & Development Project
(CRDP) is a California non-profit community-based organization. The agency~ s
mission is to design, develop and administer programs that address the needs of
targeted communities throughout the City and County of Los Angeles, that are
plagued with gang violence, high crime rates, domestic violence, unsightly
gang/tagger graffiti, drug abuse~ high levels of unemployment, economically
deprived and decaying neighborhoods.
We presently provide gang intervention/mediation, conflict resolution counseling funded by the City (LA
Bridges Phase II, hard core gang intervention) and County Probation Department,
a Los Angeles County court ordered juvenile and adult restitution program, Los
Angeles County Probation Department approved Domestic Violence Batterers
counseling program, County of Los Angeles funded Domestic Violence Victims
counseling & transitional servicecounselors are some that are former gang members that have made necessary
adjustment in their lives and life styles as a direct result of positive
responses to the projects outreach, counseling, and have become productive
independent and contributing citizens. CRDP currently employs 25 African American and Latino men and women that are
professionally trained in gang intervention/mediation. The Executive Director
and Director are the Co-founders, and combined have over fifty years of gang
intervention and prevention program development, implementation and
administration experience. Included among CRDP's professional and licensed counselors are former gang members that have made necessary adjustment in their lives and life styles as a direct result of positive responses to the projects outreach, counseling, and have become productive independent and contributing citizens.
CRDP is governed by its Board of Directors, whose Chief Officer is the Chairman of the Board. The staff consist of the Executive Director, Director, Administrative Assistant, Program Mangers, Project Directors, Licensed Social Workers and Educators, Gang Intervention Specialists, Parent Training Specialist, Domestic Violence Counselors, Community Mobilizers, Job Developers, Community Beautification Specialist, Journeyman Construction Workers, Secretaries, and Accounting staff.
