Injunction Takes Aim at Northeast L.A. Gang

From Times Staff and Wire Reports

December 20 2002

Gang members in northeast Los Angeles caught riding together in a car will be subject to arrest and seizure of their vehicles as part of an injunction filed Thursday.

The injunction also bans members of the Avenues Gang from congregating within a zone covering 9.7 square miles in Glassell Park, Cypress Park, Highland Park and part of Montecito Heights. Gang members also must obey a 10 p.m. curfew, said City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo.
