The Relatives just wrapped up production on their new video, Money Boyz. It features rappers Big Wy and Suga Buga from Inglewood and they are rippin their flows over 213's Dolla Dolla Bill beat.

The duo are cousins and both grew up in the "Bottoms," a neighborhood in Inglewood and home of the Crenshaw Mafias, a Blood gang. They were originally part of a rap group called Young Soldiers and they got their rap career started by appearing on the Bangin’ on Wax records. Later they were also known for their smash underground Los Angeles hit "East Side, West Side" which played at every LA party in the early 1990s. That underground hit landed them a deal with Death Row Records and they appeared on the sound track for Murder Was the Case .

They left Death Row and continued as The Relativez and after 2000’s release of Dirty Money, their popularity grew with a raw and un-cut compilation of tracks that portrayed California's ghetto life and Los Angeles' gang culture.

In 2002 they released The Takeover, which featured Snoop Dogg and WC. That album was well received in Southern California and currently, The Relativez staked their claim as one of California’s best underground rap groups. Now on their third album, Money Respect Money is hoping to get them mainstream attention and global appeal. Thus far, The Relativez have become one of hip-hop’s hottest underground acts.

B-Brazy (R.I.P) was one of
Bangin on Wax's most well
known artists.
In their current video there is a tribute to Bangin' on Wax star rapper B-Brazy (Bruce Parrish) who was murdered in Inglewood on May 9, 2003. He was killed in the 800 block of W. Manchester Boulevard and his murder remains unsolved. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the 28 year old Parrish unconscious and suffering from several gunshot wounds.

The City of Inglewood is offering a reward up to $25,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the murder of Bruce Parrish. Contact Detective Jeff Steinhoff in the Inglewood Police Department Homicide Section at (310) 412-5246.
