Amanda Santiago

Amanda Santiago is an undergraduate at the University of Southern California (USC). She is from Arvin, CA near Bakersfield and graduated as valedictorian from Arvin High School. Currently she is majoring in French, but she is also applying for a Cinema-Television critical studies major and is also interested in a minor in Geography.

Because of her interest in the life of the late rapper Tupac Shakur, she has studied his background and incorporated it into many of her academic projects. Santiago is interested in pursuing a career in the entertainment industry and has particular interest in music video production. In high school she created and acted as talent in music videos, reported and produced a segment on the Maury Povich Show, and has been featured in local newspapers. At USC she is involved in MeCHA, Trojan Vision, and continues to volunteer at her high school. In the entertainment industry, she would like to create videos and continue to write about social and political issues about L.A.
