Territory Maps of Gangs in Los Angeles
Welcome to Streetgangs.com. After spending several months in the field examing gangs and the their territories, I had an accurate reflection of the number of African American gangs active in the County of Los Angeles.
Using Geographic Informations Systems (GIS) software by ESRI, I was able to digitize all of the known gang territories and conduct several analyes of their territories. Below are a few of the over 30 maps that were published in Territoriality Among African Street Gangs in Los Angeles.

and queries locally stored GIS data (see above). ArcExplorer 3 is built with Java, which allows you to enjoy
cross-platform support. And most important it is
free. You will receive a version of this software along with all the digital gang maps that will be compatible with Windows 98/2000/ME/NT/Xp and Solaris.
