NORTHWEST GLENDALE — Police arrested two men and a teenager Saturday who they believe were involved in a gang-related shooting Thursday that ki*led a 16-year-old boy and seriously wounded another teen, police said Monday.

Carlos Pinon and the other teen were shot at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday in front of a home at Justin Avenue and Lake Street, police said. Pinon, who died at the scene, was found between two homes with several gunshot wounds, police said. The other teen, who also had several gunshot wounds, survived surgery at a local hospital but an update on his condition was not available Monday, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

Investigators would not release the names of the three arrested — all Los Angeles residents — because they did not want it to compromise the investigation. They are scheduled to be arraigned today in Pasadena Superior Court on murder and attempted murder charges, Lorenz said.

“We believe we have all suspects involved in custody with no one else outstanding,” he said.

The department’s Robbery/Homicide and Gang details interviewed “numerous individuals” in connection with the shooting, Lorenz said, adding that the Vice Narcotics Detail blankisted in the investigation. The department’s SWAT team issued three warrants and made the arrests within 24 hours of when the shooting was reported, he said.

Police said the suspects are all affiliated with Los Angeles gangs, and the incident appears to be gang-related.

Lorenz did not know the relationship between the two victims.
