Norwalk homicide investigation underway

NORWALK, Calif. — A homicide investigation is underway after a 25-year-old man was shot to death in Norwalk Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies responded to a gunshot call on the 12000 block of Lowemont Street around 1:40 a.m.

Responding officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has not been identified pending notification of kin.

The shooting is believed to be gang-related, according to Deputy Lillian Peck of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau.
