Swimsuit Model Accused of Running Drug Ring From West Hollywood Apartment

NBCLA | March 20, 2012

A successful swimsuit model accused of masterminding an international crystal meth ring from her Hollywood apartment was arrested in Australia after skipping bail.

Simone Farrow, 37, was on the run for almost a month before Australian officials found her at a hotel on Australian’s Gold Coast last week, according to the Sunday Telegraph.

Farrow, who also goes by the surname Starr, was arrested on suspicion that she used bags of bath salts to traffic crystal methamphetamine, which she would allegedly deliver Down Under from her swanky West Hollywood apartment, the news outlet reported.

She was out on $150,000 bail, paid for by two friends, for a suspected drug operation stemming from 2009, when Drug Enforcement Administration officials raided her apartment in the 900 block of North Doheny Drive, according to the report.

When she was nabbed March 14, Farrow defended her decision to flee the U.S. as an attempt to save her life.

“Someone was trying to murder me,” Farrow said, according to the Sunday Telegraph.

The model was once the face of Ed Hardy swimwear, and reportedly has at least 19 aliases, and legally changed her surname to Lawson in Nov. 2011, the Telegraph reported.
