Shootings compound gang violence in Pomona

POMONA – Police are investigating three non-fatal shootings that took place Sunday, continuing a month of violence that has seen five people die in shooting incidents.
In one of the Sunday shootings, a man was walking near his home in the 900 block of West 12th Street when he was shot in the leg. He was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center where he was treated and released.
The other two shootings may have been related, according to police.
On Sunday a man walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound to his hand, moments after officers responded to an apparent drive-by shooting in the 1300 block of North Gordon Street where another man had been shot.
Police say both wounded men were highly agitated and uncooperative.
