henry-solis-fugitiveLOS ANGELES – The father of Henry Solis, the LAPD fugitive wanted in the March 13 homicide of Salome Rodriguez in Pomona, was arrested at his home in Lancaster, CA. According to a federal complaint filed in the United States District Court in El Paso, Texas, the father, Victor Manuel Solis made a false state when he was interrogated by an F.B.I agent regarding the whereabouts of his son.

According to FBI agent Armando Soto, he informed the father on March 16, at a residence in San Elizario, Texas, that lying to a federal agent carried legal consequences prior to the interview.
The father informed the agent that his son, called him at him home in Lancaster at about 7:30 a.m. and wanted to take a vacation to El Paso.

The two arrived in El Paso at 3:00 a.m. on March 14, and according to the agent, the father dropped the son off at Paso Del Norte at the US/Mexico border crossing. When asked if he crossed the border into Mexico with his son, he denied it, but agent Soto retrieved video surveillance footage on March 23 that shows the two walking across the border into Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico on March 23 at about 5:40 a.m. and returning alone.

Because of this false statement Agent Soto wrote in the report that “Solis (father) knowingly and willingly lied during the interview in order to thwart law enforcement and investigative efforts” therefore he was charged with making a false statement.

The warrant for the son was not issued until March 17, 2015, so his father did not harbor any fugitive laws.
