By Daily News

Monday, April 05, 2004 – PALMDALE — Detectives said Monday they are trying to identify the aggressors in a weekend gunfight that left a teenage boy dead.

The boy, identified as 17-year-old Gustavo Ceballos of Palmdale, was ki*led in what detectives believe was a gunfight between rival gangs in front of an east Palmdale home.

Gunfire broke out about 1:30 a.m. on 28th Street East, and when deputies arrived they found shell casings and a rifle lying in the street. A short time later, someone reported a gunshot victim about a half-mile away on Lemsford Avenue near Palmdale Boulevard.

Deputies said they found the wounded teen and a bullet-riddled vehicle. The boy, who had been shot in the head, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives said they obtained a search warrant for a home on 28th Street East and found several weapons.
