Accused Gang Member, 17, Wanted for Robbery, Busted with Meth and Coke

A 17-year-old boy police said is a known gang member already wanted in connection with a robbery was facing a new charge Saturday of possessing narcotics for sale after officers found him with packaged methamphetamine and cocaine.

Officers investigating a recent robbery responded to 1052 E. Mission Blvd. in Pomona around 10:35 a.m. April 19 and located three males in the rear of that address, Pomona police said.

All three were members of a Pomona street gang, according to police.

One of the three was found to be in possession of 26.2 grams of methamphetamine and 1.64 grams of cocaine, all of it packaged in small baggies for apparent street sales, police said.

The suspect, a Pomona resident with a no-bail arrest warrant in a robbery case, was also in possession of a large sum of money and drug paraphernalia, police said.

The drugs had an estimated street value of $2,800, according to police.
