A 13-year-old boy was injured Thursday in Glassell Park during a series of shootings that may have been gang-related, authorities said.
The victim was in the 3300 block of Drew Street about 4:15 p.m. when two males drove by in a blue Chevrolet Tahoe, shouted a gang affiliation and opened fire, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Karen Rayner said.
The boy, who was not believed to be a gang member, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, LAPD Sgt. David Armis said.
Another shooting occurred about a mile away on Cazador Street about 4:30 p.m., Rayner said. Three minutes later, a third shooting was reported near Division Street and Avenue 33.
No injuries were reported from the latter shootings, and it was not known if the three incidents were related.
Two suspects were detained for questioning, but the investigation remains open, Armis said.
