Gangster gets life sentence for shooting that killed 1, injured another

compton-la-gangA gang member was sentenced Tuesday to 80 years to life in state prison for a shooting that left one man dead and wounded another man nearly two years ago.

Michael Angel Daniel, 37, of Compton, was convicted March 9 of first- degree murder for the May 21, 2014, killing of David Scott, 31, along with the attempted murder of another man.

Jurors also found true gang and gun allegations.

The panel was the third jury to hear the case against him. Two other juries had deadlocked on the charges.
