Three suspected gang members arrested on suspicion of theft

Gilroy Dispatch | May 14, 2013

Morgan Hill police arrested three car illegal street gang members – including one juvenile – who allegedly stole two vehicles and burglarized another early Monday morning.

About 2:46 a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to a vehicle alarm at Terracina Apartments, 230 E. Dunne Ave., according to an MHPD press statement. Officers who arrived on scene contacted three people walking away from a suspicious vehicle.

The subjects were identified as Giovanny Salinas, Johanna Fonseca and a juvenile, all out of San Jose, according to police. During the investigation, police determined the vehicle was stolen out of San Jose, and the trio of suspects had stolen property in their possession from a previous auto burglary in Morgan Hill.

Later Monday, another stolen vehicle from Morgan Hill was recovered and tied to these three suspects, police said.

Police also determined the three suspects are members of the Sureno street gang, the press release said.
