Criminal History of Bryan Stow Revealed

Although the beating Bryan Stow suffered at Dodgers Stadium is disproportionally violent, recent findings intimate that the Giants fan had his own share of physical outbursts.

Sports Illustrated reports that Stow had an unstable history, including three arrests between October 1989 and July 1990 for suspicion of domestic violence and two DUIs in Santa Barbara County Court. County-USC Medical Center documents recorded blood alcohol content at .176, more than twice the legal limit in California, when Stow was admitted to the hospital, while the suspect Louie Sanchez’s lawyer maintains that fan violence breakouts are usually the result of some provocation that escalates into a fight.

Stow’s family commented, “Bryan was not perfect…nobody is. In the 20 years since, Bryan turned his life around; became a father and settled into a career of helping people,” becoming a paramedic. “Regardless of his history, he in NO way deserved this. His children most certainly did not deserve it.” The general public seems to agree by showing vocal and monetary support for his family. Barry Bonds offered to pay for the college expenses of the divorcee’s two children. The extent of brain damage Stow has sustained is yet to be determined.
